Born in Dallas, Texas and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana, Will is a Southerner at heart. He played trumpet and marched in the Mardi Gras parades annually with his brothers and sister. After high school he moved up the mighty Mississippi River to Baton Rouge where he picked up a B.A. in History underneath the Louisiana Live Oaks of LSU. He continued his journey onto Los Angeles. Once in the city of Angels, Will interned for his favorite film directors including Director Oliver Stone (PLATOON, WALL STREET, JFK) at Illusion Entertainment; Director James Cameron (TITANIC, AVATAR) at Light Storm Entertainment; Director George Lucas (STAR WARS) at Lucasfilm at the Skywalker Ranch; and famed Producer Roger Corman (THE LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS, PIRANHA, THE FANTASTIC FOUR) at Concorde-New Horizons. After the era of internships was over, Will studied Cinema Production at the University of Southern California where he received an MFA in Cinema Production. It wasn't long after graduating USC that Will met and befriended Spider-Man creator and Marvel founder Stan Lee. Will convinced Stan to let him tell his story to the world which he did for six years directing / producing / writing the feature length bio pic WITH GREAT POWER: THE STAN LEE STORY which is the official story of Stan Lee told from Stan's humble New York beginnings to his rise as King of the comics! Unlike with Walt Disney whom died before they made a bio doc on him, Stan was very much alive and an active collaborator on WGP which premiered on Netflix and is on Amazon currently. After WGP , Will began a documentary exploring the 300 year history of the city of New Orleans and her Mardi Gras celebration entitled KING CAKE: THE NEW ORLEANS MARDI GRAS STORY. He spent eleven years on it crafting a story with a talented cast that includes musicians Wynton Marsalis, Aaron Neville, Irma Thomas, Allen Toussaint, Huey Lewis and actors John C. Reilly, John Goodman, Elijah Wood, Henry Winkler, Andy Garcia, Luke Perry, etc. All of these cast members shared one common thread in that they were all former Kings of Mardi Gras either via the Krewes of Bacchus, Endymion, or Orpheus which are three of the Super Krewes in New Orleans. Beyond KING CAKE Will has pondered a documentary on the beautiful frontier of Alaska that he's visited over a dozen times. For now though, he is in post production, editing a feature length comedy he wrote and directed entitled BARELY LOVE: A BEAR MAULING LOVE STORY MUSICAL which is anticipated in the Spring of 2024! What comes next? No one knows, but stay tuned... :)
