WillIAM LAWRENCE HESS

ACT I:

Born in Dallas, Texas. Grew up along the Mississippi River
in Belle Chasse, Louisiana (15 minutes down river from the New Orleans French Quarter).  

He was the son of a preacher and a home maker and has 3 siblings. 

Attended Louisiana State University (Baton Rouge) for undergraduate studies earning his B.A. in History before attending the University of Southern California (Los Angeles) where he earned his M.F.A. in Cinema Production.
 

ACT II:

WITH GREAT POWER: THE STAN LEE STORY

Will served as Writer/Director/Producer on the official biography of Spider-Man creator and Marvel Comics founder Stan Lee.  This 6 year adventure crafting Stan’s story taught him the importance of never giving up. While Marvel’s touch today turns every script into gold, there was once a time though when Stan struggled for decades to get these stories into Hollywood. The lesson being that patience is a virtue.

KING CAKE: THE JOIE DE VIVRE

Will is currently serving as Writer/Director/Producer on the official story of the city of New Orleans and its Mardi Gras celebration.
